LSGH, Adamson gain nat’l finals
LA SALLE Green Hills and Adamson University took different routes in ruling the Small Basketeers of the Philippines-Passerelle championship held recently at Ateneo Blue Eagle Gym.
Adamson whipped Ateneo in the Passerelle class, 76-63, while LSGH outlasted perennial rival Xavier School, 42-36, to keep its SBP title. Both winners made it to the National Finals
LSGH and National U placed third and fourth, respectively, in the Passerelle category even as Ateneo trounced Chiang Kai Shek College, 51-31, in the SBP battle for third place.
This year’s tournament gathered 600 players in the 9-11 years (SBP) and 12-14 (Passerelle) divisions, all applying the lessons they learned from the Basketball Efficiency and Scientific Training (BEST) Center.
The Milo and Chris Sports-backed twins tournament started in 1986.
