Not long after Tim Cone’s transfer to Barangay Ginebra, forward Joe Devance followed suit.

Devance, an integral part of Cone’s Grand Slam team two seasons ago with the Purefoods franchise, has been shipped to the Kings in a four-team deal approved by PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa on Monday.

The blockbuster trade also saw Star acquiring Jake Pascual and Ronald Pascual from Barako Bull and the Energy getting the services of Mac Baracael and Prince Caperal.

Globalport beefed up its frontline by adding veteran big man Dorian Peña from Ginebra.

The addition of Devance adds versatility to the Kings’ lineup and will be of great help with Cone running the Triangle. Devance is expected to complement the Kings mainstays of Greg Slaughter, LA Tenorio, Japeth Aguilar and Mark Caguioa.
