Khan pacesetter in Pacquiao derby, says Arum
Briton Amir Khan is now the pacesetter in the race for Manny Pacquiao’s opponent next year.
Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, revealed this to Telegraph Sport Saturday, stressing that he’s negotiating with Khan’s uncle and his lawyer, Robert Davis, and no other boxer at the moment.
If both sides come to terms, the welterweight fight, Pacquiao’s first after losing to Floyd Mayweather Jr. last May and having arthroscopic surgery for a rotator cuff tear four days later, will be held either the end of February or the first two weeks of April. Roy Luarca
