Alabang keeps WGAP lead
Alabang posted runner-up and third-place efforts to negate Tagaytay Highlands’ Class C romp and cling to a one-point lead in the overall race after the penultimate leg of the Champion Infinity WGAP 2015 Circuit at Tagaytay Midlands recently.
Alabang pooled 140 to place second to Highlands, which assembled 150, in Class C with Sta. Elena finishing third with 134. The Muntinlupa-based club scored 140 to end up third in Class B behind winner Sta. Elena, which nipped Forest Hills, 150-149.
Camp Aguinaldo ruled Class A with 147, beating Villamor (144) and Sta. Elena (142).
Article continues after this advertisementAlabang’s combined three-point haul matched Tagaytay’s output in ruling Class C and raised its overall tally to 23 heading to the Oct. 12 final leg of the eight-leg circuit at Sta. Elena.
Sta. Elena collected 5 points from its Class B win and third-place efforts in Classes A and C to stay fourth with 18 points, one off Forest Hills with 19.
Rest of the standings: Aguinaldo, 14 points; Canlubang, 11; Valley Golf, 9; Eagle Ridge, 4; Orchard and Villamor, 3 each.
