Fiba Asia 2015: China rips India, sets semis collision with Iran
China continued its return to the top of the Asian basketball by entering the semifinals of the 2015 Fiba Asia Championship following a 104-58 clobbering of India Thursday in Changsa, China.
The 46-point beatdown marked the return of Team Dragon to the Final Four after missing the semifinals of the 2013 tilt in Manila.
However, the Chinese are bracing for probably their toughest test in the tournament, a semifinals clash with reigning Asian champions Iran tomorrow.
Yi Jianlian led China with 21 points and seven rebounds in the rout, while Zhai Xiaochuan got 15 markers on a perfect 3-of-3 shooting from beyond the arc.
Vishesh Bhriguvanshi topped India with 22 points.
