WASHINGTON — Marcin Gortat scored 19 points and Bradley Beal added 17 to help the Washington Wizards rout Brazil’s Paschoalotto Bauru 134-100 on Sunday (Monday Manila time).
The Wizards pulled away with a 16-2 run in the second quarter. They led by 20 at intermission and had a 101-68 edge after three quarters.
After going 4 of 23 from 3-point range Friday night in a loss to New York, the Wizards found their range. They shot 57.1 percent (48 of 84) from the field, including 43.3 percent (13 of 30) on 3-pointers.
Drew Gooden had 15 points, going 3 of 6 from 3-point range. Otto Porter added 12 points, and Chris Humphries had 11 points and nine rebounds. Robert Day and Leo Meindl each scored 17 points for Paschoalotto Bauru, and Rafael Hettsheimeir had 16.
