PUP, Enderun stun WBL faves

Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Enderun College scored big upsets at the start of the 28th Women’s Basketball League organized by Best Center and backed by Milo recently at Xavier High School gym in San Juan.

PUP turned back Ateneo, 47-42, to join St. Scholastica, which beat St. Paul-QC, 32-31, in the early Group A lead.

Enderun, meanwhile, scuttled College of St. Benilde, 47-30, to match the win in Group B of University of Santo Tomas, which tripped UP-Los Baños, 49-29.

Also scoring their debut triumphs were De La Salle-Zobel, St. Paul College Pasig and St. Stephen’s High School in the 13-Under Developmental division of the multi-level tournament.
