Judiciary five takes on Solons
DEFENDING champion Judiciary tries to close out its first-round campaign with a bang when it goes for a second straight win against House of Representatives tomorrow in the 4th UNTV Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Judiciary Magis rode on the hot shooting of guard Warren Ybañez to end a three-game losing spell with an 89-83 win over the Ombudsman Graft Busters in Group B action two weeks back.
The Solons are still smarting from an 82-66 loss to the Metro Manila Development Authority Black Wolves last month.
But the Magis need to sharpen their game if they want to keep their Final Four bid alive in the tournament organized by UNTV president-CEO Daniel Razon.
Led by former La Salle star Johnedel Cardel, MMDA collides with Ombudsman at 2 p.m. while GSIS tackles Department of Justice at 3:30 p.m.
Armed Forces is the only unbeaten team in the tourney that dangles P2 million to the champion.
