‘Overexcited’ Bersola slowly getting old self back after injury
After almost nine idle months, University of the Philippines’ Kathy Bersola was back in familiar territory.
Bersola was once again on the frontline of the Lady Maroons’ scheme and dictated the flow of the game, but the middle hitter is still not her old self in her return.
Article continues after this advertisementShe finished with five points in their three-set rout of Philippine Coast Guard at the Shakey’s V-Leage Reinforced Conference and admitted she was pushing herself to more than what her body is able.

“I’m over excited, I feel I want to score,” Bersola said Saturday at San Juan Arena. “I need to work on techniques where I can relax.”
Article continues after this advertisementThe Lady Maroon suffered an ACL injury in January in one of the UAAP games. She was ruled out of the season.
With a thick band wrapping her left knee, Bersola said she’s just at “85 percent.”
