Two-time champion Hobe Bihon-Cars Unlimited made short work of Mindanao Agilas, 98-66, to jumpstart its bid in the 5th DELeague basketball Sunday at Marikina Sports Center.

In the other game, Macway Travel defeated Austen Morris Associates, 83-79, in Group B.

Hobe, which topped the tournament in 2012 and 2013, was led by Rodrigue Ebondo who produced 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Hobe Bihon-Cars Unlimited led by 19 points, 34-15, in the first quarter and never looked back. It also dominated the boards, 25-13, in the league backed by Marikina City Mayor Del De Guzman.

Paul Santiago collected 21 points, six rebound and five assists to pace the Macway Stalions.
