Vera fires back at trash-talking Parry: I’m going to kill this dude

Talking smack to other fighters is usually nothing new.

Chi Lewis-Parry has been all over Twitter provoking Brandon Vera ahead of their December 11 fight for the inaugural ONE Championship heavyweight title.

From calling Vera a “moron” and “choking chickens” to using another less wholesome derivative of chicken, Parry has said it all.

For Vera, however, talking trash is not his game and instead he looks at Mixed Martial Arts as a job he’s “really good at.”

“Parry’s been talking a lot of smack online, I’m not into that, I don’t take it personal,” Vera said Wednesday during the presser at City of Dreams. “It’s my job, I’m good at my job and if this is a college degree I’d have three doctorates.”

Vera, despite his mild approach to the fight, couldn’t help but fire back at Parry.

“I’m gonna kill this dude,” Vera said. “I’m gonna whoop his ass.”

Vera said he wants the fight to reach the fifth round where he would play around the 6’9″ Parry and make the Brit question his existence.

“I want him to hurt, I want him to question why he’s here.”
