San Miguel Beer withstood a tough challenge from Meralco to win, 101-85, and improve to 2-0 in the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup Wednesday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Five Beermen finished in double digits scoring with Alex Cabagnot finishing with 18 points, Arwind Santos 16, June Mar Fajardo 14, Marcio Lassiter 12 and Chris Ross 11.
The defending champions followed up their opener victory over GlobaPort in Davao last Saturday.
