Pacquiao wants Floyd to be his last foe
FOR Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr. remains to be the best and most lucrative option for what could be his last fight on April 9 next year.
The eight-division Filipino world champion bared his preference to have a rematch with Mayweather, his conqueror last May, on his Facebook account.
Article continues after this advertisement“I don’t know yet who’s my opponent next, but we’re still negotiating right now about the rematch with Floyd Mayweather, so hoping for that,” Pacquiao said.
Though Mayweather announced his retirement after beating Andre Berto last September, talks are rife that the unbeaten American may eventually be lured to fight Pacquiao again and further enrich his coffers.
For another, Mayweather may want to assert his superiority over Pacquiao, who incurred a right shoulder injury in their record-smashing bout.
