Bobby Ray Parks Jr just got another chance for his NBA dream as the Dallas Mavericks’ NBA Developmental League made him its first pick.
Texas Legends had the 25th overall pick in the 2015 NBA D-League Draft and made the 6’4” Fil-Am swingman its choice rookie.
Parks, who played with the Mavericks during the NBA Summer League, will join Satnam Singh, the 52nd pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, in a Legends team that finished 22-28 in the 2014-2015 NBA D-League season.
Son of PBA Hall of Famer Bobby Ray Parks Sr., Parks is just the second Filipino to join the D-League after the Sta. Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s affiliate, selected Japeth Aguilar in the late stages of the 2012 draft.
Parks averaged 3.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 10.5 minutes during the NBA Summer League.
