Manlutac, Santos top Phoenix Am
Joel Manlutac fired a two-under-par 70 while Fil Santos carded a net 10-under-par 62 to share the overall championship honors in Phoenix Premium 98 Am Open’s third and final leg at Beverly Place Golf Club in Mexico, Pampanga, recently.
Gerry Castañeda carted away the Open division crown with 28, five up on the joint runners-up—Beverly Place course designer Mike Singgaran and Custom Clubmakers’ Jake Ong, who both had 23s.
Bobby Rosales scored 36 points under the Stableford scoring format to ward off Christer Sibug by one point and Jose Antonio Narciso by four for Class A honors in the event sponsored by Magsaysay Transport Logistics Services and Banco de Oro-Unibank.
John San Pedro dominated Class B with 32 points while Lee Tagoc topped Class C with 27. Emy Arcilla ruled Class D with 20.
