WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has injured his knee and will vacate his title as he is expected to be out for six to nine months.

Rollins, who won the title at WrestleMania 31 last April, tore his right ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus on Tuesday at a house show in Dublin, Ireland during World Wrestling Entertainment’s European tour.

His right knee buckled on his landing after he tried to perform a sunset flip powerbomb to a table on Kane. He was still able to execute the move but needed medical attention after, ending the match prematurely.

Rollins was slated to defend the title against Roman Reigns at Survivor Series on November 22.

With the match already scratched, a tournament to crown the new champ will be held at the event, though participants have yet to be announced.
