UNTV caging: MMDA whips Ombudsman

Metro Manila Development Authority held Ombudsman to just seven points in the final quarter en route to a 79-57 win in the 4th UNTV Cup held over the weekend at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The game was tight in the first half before the Black Wolves closed out the third with a decisive run that set the tone for the rout.

The Black Wolves also came away with 20 points in the payoff period to finish with a 3-2 mark in Group B elimination.

The loss was more painful for Ombudsman forward-center Benzon Franco as he saw his 39-point effort go down the drain.

In other games, reigning champion Judiciary won by forfeiture over House of Representatives to improve to 2-3 in Group B while Government Service Insurance System outlasted Department of Justice, 63-60, for a 2-3 record in Group A.
