Mindanao Aguilas downed Our Lady of Fatima University, 78-72, on Tuesday night and barged into the win column of the 5th DELeague Basketball Tournament at Marikina Sports Center.
Gino Jumao-as put the Aguilas safely in front, 76-71, with a basket in the waning seconds of the game as the Mindanao squad posted its first win in three outings.
Rene Pacquiao topscored for the Aguilas with 20 points on top of nine rebounds. Abdul Wahab added 16 points and as many rebounds.
Phoenix, which remained winless in three games, was led by Romly Jornacion who shot 22 points and had six rebounds.
