Apparently, just about every team which made it to the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix women’s volleyball semifinals.

Philips Gold coach Francis Vicente said they would like to avoid the Blaze Spikers in the knockout semis because of their championship experience and a tried and tested system.

“As much as possible, we’re trying to avoid Petron in the semifinals,” said Vicente. “The semis is just a one-game affair. Petron is the reigning champion and has international experience. We really have to win our remaining games to avoid them in the next round.”

Cignal and Philips Gold clash today for the top spot, while Foton fights for better ranking against RC Cola-Air Force in the doubleheader that begins at 4 p.m. at San Juan Arena.
