Golden State Warriors unveil PH-themed shirt for Filipino Heritage Night

The NBA champions Golden State Warriors will don Philippine-themed shooting shirts to show love to their fans as they host Filipino Heritage Night against Brooklyn Nets on November 14 (Sunday Manila time).

The team on Thursday announced that it will be unveiling a special Filipino Heritage tee, featuring the Golden State logo embedded in the center of the sun, flanked by three stars reminiscent of the Philippine flag.

Filipino culture will also be showcased throughout the night at the Oracle Arena in San Francisco with a halftime performance by the American Center of Philippine Arts and tailgating party that will feature food trucks of popular Filipino food at the arena parking lot.

FEATURED STORIES

Proceeds of the event will be donated to support local Filipino organizations in the Bay Area.

Fans who purchased tickets will be given a commemorative Warriors “Kampeon” t-shirt.

The 2010 United States Census showed that 382,950 Filipino-Americans lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, making it one of the largest Filipino communities overseas.
