Pahente, Suson bag 2 titles each

GENNIFER Lysandra Pahente of Cagayan de Oro and Marc Nicole Suson of Cebu shone the brightest by winning two titles each in the Agusan del Norte leg of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group Tennis Championship in Cabadbaran recently.

Pagente ruled the girls’ 14- and 16-Under divisions, while Suson captured the crowns in the same age-groups in the boys’ category.

Mary Aubrey Calma ruled the girls’ 18-under division, before partnering with Pagente to claim the doubles title.

Pagente scored a trouble-free 6-1, 6-1 win over Misamis Oriental bet Farrah Kris Emata in the girls’ Under-14 finals. Emata earlier won the Under-12 category.

Pagente followed up her conquest of Emata with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Calma but the latter later overcame Surigao’s Angelyn Esguerra, 6-0, 6-2 in the girls’ 18-under finals.
