Biboy, Liza in strong BWC starts
LAS VEGAS—Former World FIQ champion Biboy Rivera and Liza del Rosario of the Philippines checked in sixth and 12th, respectively, as the 51st Qubica AMF Bowling World Cup finals got going Sunday at Sam’s Town here.
Rivera rolled an eight-game series of 1764 pins to stay in good position to advance into the second round of the men’s competition.
Del Rosario, considered one of Asia’s top lady pintopplers, also made a strong bid to make the next round after the opening eight games with 1642.
