Barako Bull banked on RR Garcia to beat Mahindra, 93-85, for its first winning steak in the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup Tuesday at Alonte Sports Complex in Biñan, Laguna.

Garcia, a one-time UAAP MVP out of Far Eastern University, hardly missed en route to a 26-point outing on 10-of-14 shooting from the field to lead the Energy to their second straight victory and third overall in five outings.

The Energy were clinging to a seven-point lead before the 25-year-old guard scored his team’s final five points, including a dagger 3-pointer for a 91-81 buffer with 1:20 left.

Barako Bull also drew 20 points from JC Intal and a double-double from Willy Wilson, who had 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Enforcers were denied of their bid to win in successive outings despite getting a career performance from Mark Yee, who tallied 17 points and 20 rebounds off the bench.

Mahindra failed to follow up its win over NLEX last Friday to suffer its fourth setback in five stints.
