That’s why the spotlight on the rising stars of the Philippine Azkals as they get featured in the Inquirer Sports Special issue coming out soon.
Crowd favorite Misagh Bahadoran, and up-and-coming defenders Daisuke Sato and Amani Aguinaldo braved the horrendous traffic on Tuesday to pose for photos and share their stories with Inquirer reporters.
Last week, the Inquirer also took time to visit the Azkals during their practice at Rizal Memorial Stadium days before their 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifying match against Yemen.
