Petron charges into PSL finals at expense of Cignal
It could be a charm for Petron as it entered the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix Finals for the third straight time after dispensing Cignal, 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 25-13, Thursday at San Juan Arena.
What could have been a game-extending play for the HD Spikers proved fatal as their final play went erroneous, sending the Blaze Spikers to a finals matchup against Foton.

Blaze Spikers head coach George Pascua said the unexpected finals matchup against Foton is the capper to a conference full of surprises.
“This has gotta be one of the most difficult conferences I’ve ever been on,” Pascua said who is seeking a three-peat, a feat only Philippine Army has achieved. “This is what we’ve been working for. We want that Grand Slam.”

Rupia Inck led Petron with 20 points while Daquis and Dindin Santiago-Manabat added 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Amanda Anderson led Cignal, which saw its five-game winning streak come to an end, with 20 points while Ariel Usher added 18.
The best-of-three PSL finals begin on November 26.
