Julaton goes for ‘homerun knockouts’ in ONE Championship
Fil-American Ana Julaton is looking to pack a punch when she takes the stage in the ONE Championship here in Manila.
“I got a couple of fights left with One Championship and I’m looking forward in finishing off with some really, really homerun knockout performances,” Julaton said in an interview released to the media.
Article continues after this advertisementJulaton has a 2-1 MMA record and looks to add one more to the win column in her overdue match against Irina Mazepa in December at Mall of Asia Arena.
A former boxing champion, Julaton made the jump to MMA where she started her career with two straight wins before falling to Ann Osman in Dubai.
Julaton was supposed to fight Mazepa instead of Osman but the Russian got sidelined due to injury.
Article continues after this advertisement“Irina Mazepa is a powerful striker for sure. To see what she did to Osman in Malaysia in front of a sold-out hometown crowd was spectacular and proved Mazepa can fight and has no pressure as the visitor,” Julaton said.
With Mazepa her possible penultimate opponent, Julaton said another fight with Osman is possible
“Like when I take care of Irina, I wanna call Ann Osman like you know, it’s up to the play.”
