Philippine team standout and TBAM-Prima mainstay Kenneth Chua kept his composure to thwart the tough challenge by Noli Pabilonia of ATBA and win the Masters crown in the 44th PBC-Boysen Philippine Open held Sunday at the Sta. Lucia Bowling Center in Cainta, Rizal.
Chua carded a 3313 score after 14 games to pocket the P100,000 grand prize, while Pabilonia posted a 3173 to settle for second. Krizziah Tabora, another member of the Philippine team and of TBAM-Prima, wound up third with 3136.
The finals series turned into a three-way fight among Chua, Pabilonia, and Tabora onwards from the 5th game. Pabilonia vaulted into second spot after rolling a perfect score in the 6th game, cutting Chua’s lead to just 12 pins. But Chua countered with his own 300 in the 7th game to keep his lead.
