Kiefer Ravena’s journey may have ended in heartbreak but the player dubbed as “Phenom” looks forward to a new journey.
With the PBA draft still months away, Ravena is hoping to lend his services to the Gilas program.
Ravena hopes he could become a practice player to help the big boys in preparing for the Olympic Qualifiers set next year in June.
“I still have time [between my graduation and thePBA Draft in August],” Ravena said Ateneo dropped a 74-76 decision to Far Eastern University in the UAAP Final Four.
Ravena hopes he could be one of “the added bodies” in the Gilas practice with the most of the players also busy with training with their mother clubs.
“If they need my presence I’m free, it’s the PBA season as well, they’ll need more bodies in practice.”
Ravena is leaving the UAAP with two championships and just as many MVP plums, but his collegiate career didn’t end the way he wanted it to.
“It’s not the destination, the journey, I’ve grown so much in the UAAP.”
“I could’ve ended it with a championship.”
