Valdez’s possible PLDT stint an added challenge for Army

Alyssa Valdez may have been absent from the Shakey’s V-League for over a month, but Alyssa Valdez is still Alyssa Valdez and the Philippine Army takes note of that.

Lady Troopers head coach Kung Fu Reyes overheard Valdez would be playing in the Reinforced Conference Finals and he knows the Phenom is an added challenge for them.

“Alyssa would bring an additional challenge for us,” Reyes said. “Well it’s not only Alyssa who would be a challenge but the whole team but she will be another challenge.”

Valdez is in the PLDT lineup even before the semifinals started sat out the conference to rest after playing in the UAAP Beach Volleyball Tournament.

Not only will Reyes worry about Valdez, he will also keep an eye on PLDT’s imports Sareea Freeman and Victoria Hurtt.

“I’m still looking at the capacities of those two,” Reyes said. “It’s always harder to match up against players who can jump that high.”
