AFP eyes 6th straight win

ARMED Forces of the Philippines shoots for a sixth straight win when it battles Malacañang tomorrow at the start of the second round of the 4th UNTV Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The AFP Cavaliers clash with the Malacañang Patriots at 7 p.m., with the Cavaliers determined to stay unbeaten in the crossover round to boost their bid for an outright semifinal bid.

In other games, Senate, which forged a four-way tie for the Group A lead at 3-2, collides with Bureau of Fire Protection at 3:30 p.m. while National Housing Authority tackles Metro Manila Development Authority at 5 p.m.

The Senate Defenders leaned on former PBA MVP Kenneth Duremdes to beat the PNP Responders, 72-71, and tie their victims, the Builders and the Patriots.

The top two teams will advance outright to the Final Four.
