Sta. Lucia gains PCBL q’finals

STA. LUCIA secured one of four quarterfinal seats after surviving Euro-Med, 71-67, in the PCBL Founders Cup at JCSGO Gym on Tuesday.

Should Jumbo (5-4) lose their next game against Foton, Sta. Lucia (6-4) will get the No. 2 spot. The top four teams at the end of the elimination round will enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage over their lower-ranked rivals.

Mark Montilla fired 21 points for Sta. Lucia.
