They are not making promises, but expect leaders Kevin Ferrer and Ed Daquiaog to do everything to give University of Santo Tomas a new lease on life in the UAAP Finals.
After UST lost to game 1, 64-75, to Far Eastern University on Wednesday, the duo said they would what it takes to help the Growling Tigers bounce back and force game 3.
“We won’t make any promises but we’ll do what we can,” Ferrer said after posting 15 points on a poor 6-of-16 shooting.
Ferrer was subject to FEU’s trap defense as he shot Hail Mary after Hail Mary in an attempt to give UST a fighting chance.
Daquioag, meanwhile, wasn’t much better as he only scored four points on 1-of-7 shooting before fouling out with less than two minutes remaining.
But Daquioag is confident the Tigers won’t go down easily.
“We’ll bounce back,” Daquioag said firmly.
Game 2 of the best-of-three finals is set on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
