A couple points and a pair of rebounds more and Kevin Ferrer would’ve won his first and only season MVP award in men’s basketball.
The University of Santo Tomas forward finished a close second to Ateneo guard Kiefer Ravena but Ferrer — at least for a day — felt what it’s like to be feted as an MVP in the seniors’ division.

Ferrer, a one-time juniors MVP when he bested Ravena in 2010, was asked by Ravena to join him at center court and the two friendly rivals lifted the trophy in unison.
“I was really touched that he shared his MVP trophy with me,” Ferrer told INQUIRER.net on Filipino.
Aside from their UAAP battles, Ferrer and Ravena also won two gold medals as part of the national team.

“We’ve been through a lot and have gone through the same journey ever since high school,” Ferrer said.
