Bargnani nabs season-best in Nets’ win vs 76ers

NEW YORK – Andrea Bargnani scored a season-high 23 points, Thaddeus Young had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 100-91 on Thursday (Friday Manila time).

Brooklyn won for the sixth time in its last seven home games. Philadelphia fell to 0-13 on the road.

Shane Larkin scored 14 points and Bojan Bogdanovic had 10 for the Nets.

Jahlil Okafor had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and T.J McConnell scored 17 points for the 76ers.

The Nets set the tone early by allowing only 13 points in the first quarter, the fewest they’ve given up in any period this season. Philadelphia began the game 0 for 15 on 3-pointers before McConnell made one with 4:11 left in the second quarter.

Brooklyn opened the fourth quarter with an 18-6 run and never looked back. Larkin scored eight during that run.
