JUVIC Pagunsan shot a three-under 69 in the third round Saturday to lead Filipino campaigners in the Thailand Golf Championship in Chonburi.
Counting his earlier rounds of 72-70, Pagunsan pooled a 211, a whopping 11 shots off French pacesetter Clement Sordet, who carded a 63 for a 16-under 200 total.
Second-round leader James Donaldon of Welsh settled for a 71 and dropped to second, two shots behind Sordet at 202.
Actually, Pagunsan made a spirited charge with five birdies in a six-hole span starting from the 11th, but got derailed by a double-bogey 5 on the 17th.
Still, Pagunsan towed compatriots Tony Lascuña (74-214) by three and Angelo Que (72-215) by four entering today’s final round.
