Tams selection whips Knights of Columbus
THE ASSOCIATION of Mindoreños seniors and juniors (Tams) team beat the Knight of Columbus of Pinamalayan selection, 87-75, recently at Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy gym, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.
Former NLRC commissioner and captain ball Tito Genilo and former Purefoods guard Jun Portosa combined for 36 points to power Tams past K of C which was reinforced by players from IHMA and Abada Colleges.
After the game, senior Tams, composed of Metro Manila-based professionals, businessmen and employees, conducted gift giving for senior citizens and distributed toys and school supplies.
Present were Tams president and coach Caloy Eje, assistant captain ball Col. Edmund Janda, Tams sports chair Gen. Max Valiente, Col. Jerey Sabalo, Or. Mindoro Gov. Boy Umali, Tams auditor Celso Hiwatig, Capt. Mar Navarro, ex-LTO legal counsel Jun Morente, Capt. Jun Bengan, PIA officer Louie Morente, former NBI officer Jimmy Gozar, Jorge Tolentino, SEC commissioner Tady Venturanza, former San Beda Red Lion Manny Baldos and overall Tams coordinator Regino Jun Quing.
