Hobe, FEU fives dispute title
HOBE Bihon-Cars Unlimited ended Far Eastern University-NRMF’s bid for a tournament sweep as the 2012 and 2013 league champion upended the Tamaraws, 72-57, Saturday night to forge a winner-take-all Game 3 in the 5th DELeague Basketball Tournament championship at Marikina Sports Center in Marikina.
The Hobe Bihon dribblers raced to a 22-14 lead in the first quarter and never wavered to avenge their Game 1 loss to the Tamaraws.
Centro Escolar University slotman Rodrigue Ebondo topscored for the victors with 21 points on top of eight rebounds. Laundry Sanjo backed him up with 20 points and 14 boards.

The two teams clash for the title on Tuesday.
In the battle for third place, Sta. Lucia Land Inc. downed Philippine Christian University, 82-75.
