Pam Lastimosa to miss UAAP Season 78 with torn ACL

University of Santo Tomas’ quest to end its three-year absence in the Final Four took another hit as Pam Lastimosa tore her Anterior cruciate ligament in the left knee last month.

New UST head coach Kungfu Reyes said that Lastimosa injured her knee last November 25 as she collided with Dimdim Pacres’ under the net during practice.

Lastimosa underwent surgery last December 5 and is now on the road to recovery.

Lastimosa is expected to miss the upcoming UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament.

The fifth-year open hitter will be sorely missed by the Tigresses and the bulk of responsibility now rests on Mela Tunay, EJ Laure, Ria Meneses, and Jessey de Leon.

UST, which finished fifth last year with its 6-8 record, has not gone to the Final Four since Season 74.
