A new three-man coaching staff has been put in place as Perpetual Help starts its preparation early for the next NCAA season.

Perpetual school owner Antonio Tamayo will take a more hands-on approach with the basketball program as he joins lawyer Barry Neil Tobias and former Altas Nic Omorogbe on the bench for the men’s basketball team.

“They will start preparation as soon as possible,” said Perpetual athletic director Jeff Tamayo, who also acts as the school’s representative to the NCAA Management Committee (ManCom) on Tuesday in a statment.

The Altas missed the Final Four for the first time in four years under the guidance of coach Aric del Rosario and finished at sixth place with an 11-7 slate this Season 91.

Del Rosario’s contract ended at the conclusion of NCAA Season 91.

Tamayo was a teammate of del Rosario back in UST High School, while Tobias is a Perpetual Law School alumnus. The Nigerian Omorogbe played for the Altas from 2012 to 2013, with both teams reaching the Final Four.
