FIERCE rivals in the UAAP, collegiate stars Kiefer Ravena and Jeron Teng suited up on the same side when they played for the Philippines in the 2015 Fiba 3×3 All Stars exhibition game.
The rare occurrence also saw Ravena, the UAAP’s season MVP from Ateneo, and La Salle’s Teng joining forces with NCAA stars Bright Akhuetie of Perpetual Help and San Beda’s Ola Adeogun as Team Philippines defeated Team Qatar, 18-11, in the exhibition match held recently in Qatar.
The UAAP mythical duo was backed by Akari, the country’s top lighting and technology brand which tapped Ravena and Teng as brand ambassadors.
“We are truly proud of our Akari Dual Power endorsers, Kiefer and Jeron, after they embarked on another challenge together, this time in the international basketball arena,” said Russel Balbacal, Akari Lighting and Technology Corporation sports director.
