Jacob Ang of Eagle Cement and DC karter Gabe Tayao Cabrera pulled off separate sweeps that fortified their quests for the overall crowns in the 2015 Petron Blaze 100 ROK Karting Super Series held recently at Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.
Ang, vying for the Junior Karter of the Year plum, ruled the Qualifying, Pre-Final and Final heats to emerge KF Junior Blaze 100 champion.
Karter of the Year hopeful Cabrera, on the other hand, struggled hard against former champion Vencer John Suba before posting his own sweep in the ROK Shifter Senior Max Diesel class.
Jarred Kim also shone with an upset win over perennial champion Eduardo Coseteng Jr. in the Mini-ROK XCS division.
Other winners were Tai Zulberti (Formula SL Novice Xtra) and Jojo Suba (Cebu Club Race).
