Crucial UAAP jrs football matches resume Jan. 16

/ 02:10 AM December 23, 2015

HEAVY rains spawned by Typhoon “Nona”  cancelled the UAAP Season 78 juniors football matches over the weekend as the Moro Lorenzo Football Field inside the Ateneo de Manila grounds in Quezon City was deemed unplayable.

The matches, supposed to be the final playing day of the first round, between defending champion Far Eastern University-Diliman and Ateneo and De La Salle Zobel against University of Santo Tomas will be played on Jan. 16 instead, also at Moro Lorenzo Field.

The Baby Tamaraws are on top of the table with six points, while the Junior Archers and the Blue Eaglets are tied with three points apiece.
The winless Tiger Cubs are still without a point.

The UAAP is now on a holiday break and will resume action on Jan. 9 with the second round of the juniors basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
