The Philippine Superliga has thrown its support behind the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas’ goal to consolidate all the sport’s stakeholders.

PSL president Ramon “Tats” Suzara said the club league will cooperate with the LVPI in uniting volleyball bodies in the country, particularly in the synchronization of its calendar of activities and the deployment of teams to international competitions.

“We have already furnished them (LVPI) with our calendar for 2016 which is also based on the FIVB (international federation) and AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation),” said Suzara.

He said the PSL will also provide opportunities to local coaches, players, game officials, even media by making sure they adhere to international standards.

Suzara, AVC head of marketing and development and FIVB marketing committee member, said they look forward to having seminars here in the country.

“In fact, our country sent two representatives to the inaugural AVC Press Seminar in Bangkok two weeks ago,” said Suzara.

The Philippines will also host the Asian Women’s Club Championships in September.

Suzara added that the PSL will put emphasis on making volleyball the “top family-sport entertainment.”
The PSL is also slated to unfurl innovations in the conduct of the games as well as in the players’ uniforms.

“We will pick up where we left off,” said Suzara.
