NBA: Bruised leg sidelines Curry
LOS ANGELES, United States — Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry has a bruised left lower leg and was held out of Wednesday’s clash with the Mavericks in Dallas.
“OFFICIAL: Stephen Curry will not play tonight at Dallas. MRI earlier today revealed bruised left lower leg,” the reigning NBA champion Warriors said in a statement posted on Twitter.
Article continues after this advertisementInterim coach Luke Walton said Tuesday night that Curry could miss both the game in Dallas and Thursday’s game against the Rockets in Houston.
Curry played through a strained right calf in helping the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in an NBA Finals rematch on Christmas Day.
ESPN reported that Curry hurt his left leg on Monday in the Warriors’ 122-103 victory over the Sacramento Kings, in which Curry posted his sixth career triple-double with 23 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists.
