Pacquiao amps up training in GenSan

BARELY a day after his arrival from the United States, Manny Pacquiao revved up his physical conditioning for his third showdown with Timothy Bradley in Gen. Santos City yesterday.

Pacquiao, who held a promotional tour in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and New York City with Bradley from Jan. 19 to 21, jogged at Acharon Sports Complex and did exercises, including dribbling two balls at the same time to strengthen his arms.

Actual training for Pacquiao starts next month under the supervision of bosom buddy Buboy Fernandez.

Head trainer Freddie Roach will be flying on Feb. 13 to take over the first phase of Pacquiao’s eight-week preparation for his April 9 WBO welterweight title fight against Bradley at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Team Pacquiao will proceed to Hollywood for the second phase of training camp set at Roach’s Wild Card Gym.  Roy Luarca
