Ginebra center Greg Slaughter could miss his team’s opening game in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup against NLEX on Friday due to measles.

The Kings’ center, who was diagnosed of the viral infection on Thursday, could also miss their second game depending on his progress, according to Ginebra head coach Tim Cone.

“He’s out five to seven days. He could possibly miss our first game or two, but nothing is sure for yet,” Cone told INQUIRER Friday. “We’re still waiting to see if he responds to the medicine.”

Slaughter averaged 22.69 points and 14.46 rebounds per game for Ginebra in the Philippine Cup as he manned the middle for Cone’s first year with team.
