From one champion to another.
Retired UFC champion and now Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell said he wants to help former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey with her striking after the latter’s shock loss in UFC 194.
TMZ caught up with the former light heavyweight champion who and asked him about the criticisms made by Rousey’s mother, AnnMaria DeMars, towards Rousey’s trainer Edmond Tarverdyan.
Holly Holm, a former boxer and one of the deadliest woman striker in the UFC, knocked out Rousey with a head kick prompting DeMars to call Tarverdyan “a fraud.”
“Is it the guy that told her she could out strike Holly Holm?” Liddell told TMZ. “Ronda’s striking has greatly improved, he’s done a great job with her striking—but it’s another step when you go up against a professional striker.”
Liddell was one of the most feared strikers in the UFC finishing with a 21-8 record with 12 of those wins coming off knockouts.
“I’ll train her any time she wants,” Liddell said.
