Freddie Roach is ready to bring out the heavy guns as he prepares Manny Pacquiao for his farewell fight.

As per PhilBoxing.com, the Hall of Fame trainer is set to bring in undefeated welterweight Frankie Gomez as Pacquiao’s sparring partner to prepare him for his bout against Timothy Bradley in April.

Gomez is expected to arrive at General Santos City soon, depending on how quickly Top Rank, Pacquiao’s promoter, processes the boxer’s papers.

“It depends on how fast Top Rank (Pacqiuao’s promotional outfit) can prepare Gomez’s travel documents,” Roach told PhilBoxing.com. “He’s definitely coming in time for the start of the sparring sessions two weeks after I arrive. They (Top Rank) are already working on his papers.”

Pacquiao, who is running for a senate seat in the Philippines, will face Bradley for the third time.

Their first outing resulted in a controversial split decision victory for Desert Storm and their second turning out to be more of a convincing unanimous decision win for the Pacman.

Gomez, who is of American-Mexican descent, owns a perfect 20-0 record in his professional career.
