Global takes on Archers; gifted Nazari marked man

Filipino-Iranian standout Omid Nazari will be a marked man as Global and Green Archers clash for the top spot in Group B today while JP Voltes seeks to sustain its impressive start in the UFL Cup at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The spotlight will be on Global midfielder Nazari as he aims to follow up an auspicious debut with another strong showing against Archers in the 4 p.m. kickoff.

Buoyed by a Nazari hat trick, Global rolled to a 7-0 demolition of Pasargad to grab the headstart in a tough Group B.

The Archers got goals from their new signings Lee Joo-young and Gary Epesso in the 4-0 drubbing of Nomads last Sunday.
