Far Eastern University sent University of Santo Tomas reeling to its third straight defeat with a 25-22, 25-18, 15-25, 25-23 victory Saturday in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament.

Coming off a straight set loss to Ateneo last Wednesday, the Lady Tamaraws overcame the three-pronged Tigresses attack and racked up their second win in the tournament against as many losses.

Toni Rose Basas led the attack for FEU finishing with game-high 19 points, all from kills. Skipper Remy Joy Palma added 12.

Three Tigeresses wound up in double-digit scoring with Carmela Tunay chipping in 16, Cherry Ann Rondina 14, and Ennajie Laure 10, but their efforts weren’t enough to get them out of a rough spot.

UST remained winless thus far after three matches.
